Teodora Bakardzhieva (Chair)

Executive Director, Bulgarian Donors’ Forum

Teodora Bakardzhieva has been working in Bulgaria's non-governmental sector for over 20 years. She has been an integral part of various Bulgarian NGOs with diverse profiles, including the Civic Initiatives Workshop Foundation, FORA - Community Development Foundation, and the Bulgarian Food Bank.

Since 2016, Teodora has been working with the Bulgarian Donors' Forum, and in 2022, she assumed the role of Executive Director, taking charge of operational management. Throughout her career, Teodora has gained extensive experience in capacity-building initiatives for civil society organizations, conducting research and analysis on donations and volunteering, structuring donation and volunteer initiatives, and serving as a community facilitator. Her expertise also extends to being a fundraising trainer and working as a project evaluator.
